April Ananda Bliss
April Ananda Bliss is the ring mistress of Bliss Circus, creatrix, and instructor. With 14 years of experience of performance in the circus arts around the world and 10 years of experience organizing circus events and gatherings, her goal is to share the joy and bliss of circus and build the circus community stronger wherever she goes. She is also a bodyworker, her knowledge of the body combined with the many years of training, studying, and working with movement in circus arts has provided her with an encyclopedia of information she is happy to share with her students.
Aditi Sreevathsa
Aditi discovered circus arts while taking pole lessons with PoleSoc Sussex in 2015. Under the guidance of High Top Circus instructors Kitty Peels and Abigail Horn, Aditi developed a passion for height and vertical movements. Today, Aditi is among the first batch of internationally certified aerial silk instructors, accredited by Oak Kannatthaphon of Asia Aerial Arts (AFAA and ACE approved).
Aditi has been teaching aerial silk in Bangalore for couple of years and their teaching approach emphasizes a strong commitment to safety, asynchronous method and fostering creative progress rather than mastering a skill.
Outside the circus, Aditi is a recognized music entrepreneur and DJ and have played host to artists from around the world like Mike Posner, Anderson Paak, Watsky, Tinariwen, Patrick Watson, and many others. Aditi has also performed at popular music events such as Boiler Room, Road to Lollapalooza, Arcade 140 to name a few. Aditi, as FUSHI, also played a show in protest against oppression and oppressive systems at HÖR's debut shows in India.
Oak Kannatthaphon
Kannatthaphon Sonkcharoen is a Thai aerialist with ten years of performing and teaching experience. He started his journey in aerial in Thailand and then went on to train as a Circus instructor in Montreal, Canada. He started competing in 2018 in aerial acrobatic competitions and won first prize in Aerial Silks in Airstar Aerial Competition 2018 and Aerial Hoop in Philippines aerial cup 2019. He is currently doing aerial acrobatic teacher trainings for many aerial studios in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Oak is going to be teaching the aerial hoop intensive and our third accredited aerial silks teacher training programme!
Celeste Flores
Celeste Flores is thrilled to bring her passion for aerial arts to India with this unique workshop.
With a diploma in circus arts from the University of La Unsam, her journey in acrobatics began in Argentina and took her around the world. For the past 18 years, she has had the privilege of performing as an aerial acrobat with various companies globally, including Cirque du Soleil, both on cruise ships and on land.
Throughout her career, she has continually sought to expand her skills and knowledge, learning from the best in the field and perfecting her craft. Now, she is excited to share her extensive experience and insights.
Nacho Ricci
Nacho Ricci is a circus artist specialized in Aerial Rope. He was born in Argentina, has been growing up in Mexico and is living now in Buenos Aires.
While his aerial circus training started at the age of 18, his first stage contact was at the age of 13 as an actor and occasionally as a magician. The very first time Nacho touched the rope was in 2007 at the circus school la Arena (Buenos Aires). From there on he has been specializing in this discipline, being a reference for both style and technique.
In his 11 years of experience, he has been working with various companies and at numerous festivals (FICHO, PERIPLO, AIRE FESTIVAL, ASHDOD FESTIVAL, MAC, and at CIRQUE DU DEMAIN where he received with the special prize of the jury for his act aquí ahora).
Nacho's scenical mastery make him the perfect artist to work as a soloist or as part of an ensemble – for punctual events as for long term projects.
Nacho and Celeste will be teaching the month long Silk and Rope retreat at Bliss this season
Elisa Alcalde
Elisa Alcalde is a multifaceted artist specializing in aerial acrobatics since 2007. She studied artistic gymnastics from the age of 8, followed by dance, acrobatics and the Feldenkrais method. She graduated from the University of Tor Vergata in diagnostic techniques of Neurophysiopathology in 2011.
She studied aerial acrobatics in Argentina, Belgium and Germany, developing a high technical level in solo and duo (Duo Aves), on different apparatus such as fabrics, trapeze and rope.
She has worked as a performer for notable companies such as Kitonb, Eventi Verticali, Les Farfadais, La Fura dels Baus and Materia Viva in Europe, Asia and Africa.
She has taught in numerous aerial schools, including: National Circus School of Liana Orfei, Atelier Saltimbanco, Roman School of Circus and Monkey Lab. She has lived in France for 5 years, where she perfects her technique and continues to work in the panorama of current circus. She has created a first show "dans mes cordes" and she is in création of a new show for 2025 "li(e)n".
Andromeda
Beginning circus practice for a street play in 1999, his first skill was Stilts. Following that he started learning fire, which has become one of his main skills to perform and teach.
In 2006 he started learning aerial silks and when he moved to the UK in 2008 he mastered his aerial skills in Net. He also developed other aerial skills that he also performs and teaches: hoop, rope, web, straps, mouth hanging
He has been a member of Aircraft Circus Company since 2009 where teach and perform alongside.
In 2016 he moved to Australia where he taught contortion and aerial on regular bases in pole studios and circus schools (PDA, Love Pole, Miss Fit, Umbilico) and stretching/conditioning in dance schools (Village on Broadway, Dance Central) along side workshops.
Since 2018 he moved back to London where he teaches in circus schools and pole studios but he is mainly focused in teaching other performers to improve their skills and act creations. In 2020 he did his 200h Yoga Teacher Training what he considers the best complement for his carrier on and off the stage.
