Ever dreamed of expanding your aerial practice with multi-rope? All the potential and playfulness of so many apparatus mixed together plus the hypnotic spins that make this apparatus so beautiful? Nervous about getting tangled or how to really make this apparatus memorize your audience?
Join us for a week-long deep dive into the potential for multi-ropes with performance artist and instructor Elisa Alcalde. Fall in love with this apparatus, and learn how easy it is to set up and experiment with! An impactful and unique apparatus to add to your repertoire, we can't wait to share with you! Join us this January in Goa, India at our beachside training space and start or expand your multi-rope journey in paradise!
During the workshop we will study and approach intermediate and advanced technical elements on multirope. We will study elements of dynamics and tackle the work on roll-ups, paying attention to the work on the Cs in different positions on the ground and in the air. We will approach these tools with curiosity and attention, adding vocabulary to the techniques already known, and experimenting with new ways of approaching more basic techniques (such as the study and decomposition of the soleil in many ways). We will discover how to work with multiple vertical supports on the multirope, maintaining attention and sensitivity to the precision of each movement in the air.
What will the course cover?
The focus is on technique, and injury prevention, dynamics, C shaping and practice.
Level Segregation:

Beginner - able to climb

Intermediate (1) - able to invert on short arm / long arm hangs

Intermediate (2) - able to execute foundational dynamics

Intermediate (3) - able to enter and manoeuvre through balances

Advanced (1) - able to enter multi-step combos

What is included in the retreat fee?
The course fee includes access to the instructor, use of equipment and circus space, accommodation and nutritious food at Traverse Luxe Hostel, Palolem, Goa, and a fun group excursion to explore the beautiful nature of Goa.

What is not included?
Travel arrangements, visas, and any upgrades on stay, food, activities and entertainment. Please note, if you have special needs or alternative arrangements that require us to accommodate, please write to us here.
