About the TTC

What is it?

Internationally certified 30-hour, level 1 aerial fabric/silk teacher training.

  • Learn how to safely teach aerial in our paradise circus school with an Internationally accredited circus instructor from Thailand, Oak (@oakenoak).

  • This is a full 6-day training course in which will teachers to be will learn how to safely and effectively teach an Aerial Silks Class and learn all the beginner syllabus moves.

  • We will cover aerial anatomy, Injury Prevention, Floor warm-ups & cool-downs, health and safety when teaching an aerial class, class management, and how to structure a class plan.

  • No specific length of previous experience is recommended but you are required to have some experience with aerial silks before. We recommend this course for aerialist who can straddle in the air on their own.

Syllabus

Face-to-face course Aerial Silks 30hr

[AAA] Aerial Silks Teacher Training Course Developed by Circus Instructor, and Corrective Exercise Specialist so the fundamentals of this course will make the class safe and fun. This course covers

  • Posture Analysis

  • The Anatomy of Aerial Exercise & Movement

  • Aerial Silks exercise Technique

  • Description, and Tips.

 

UNIT 1: ANATOMY

To understand the mechanisms of posture within the body in order to look, feel and perform better. A focus on posture puts the whole body into better alignment, which can help improve Aerialist performance and may decrease the propensity for injuries.

 

UNIT 2: WARM-UPS AND COOL DOWN

Mobility and stability exercises improve your range of motion through either dynamic movement or static holds. These two types of exercise are paired together. improve student ability to maintain and move into proper postural alignment.

 

UNIT 3: TEACHING AERIAL SILKS MOVES

We will cover the core of Aerial Silks moves in detail. Considering the key skills needed for an effective instructor. This chapter is an example to give you an idea of what your class could look like.

Basic Pose for Beginner, Drop, Roll, and Dynamic Tricks

 

UNIT 4: CONDITIONING AND INJURY PREVENTION

This chapter discussed how prehabilitation, mobility, and flexibility are all related to each other in the context of keeping the student body healthy. Some of the specifics were analyzed on how mobility and flexibility relate to injuries and pain.

Enjoy training in our 8-meter open-air professional circus training facility in a beautiful location with lots of shade, a big area for stretching/acro/handstands, and less than a minute's walk from the beach.

In the downtime, enjoy playtime in the sea and sand on the famously beautiful beaches of Southern Goa, treat yourself to the many amazing culinary delights India has to offer in the evenings, and profit from the healing treatments that the circus has to offer. 

The training space will be available for use with open training hours in addition to all the classes. ​
